Overview
My client is looking for a handsāon, highly reactive Yard & Operations Administrator to be based full time at their Redditch depot. This role suits someone who thrives in a fastāmoving environment, can manage a planned day but pivot quickly when priorities change, and is comfortable working across two teams to keep operations running smoothly. You will take full ownership of the yard and asset administration, acting as a key link between depot operations, engineers, and wider teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate independently to prepare accurate picking lists with a high level of attention to detail
- Receive, offload, and correctly allocate returned assets within the yard
- Maintain accurate, realātime stock records and proactively flag shortages to the leadership team
- Identify opportunities for asset movements and depot transfers where required
- Take full ownership of the yard, ensuring it remains safe, clean, organised, and operational at all times
- Carry out regular asset checks to ensure equipment is well maintained and fit for use
- Implement and manage effective organisational systems to improve efficiency and workflow
- Develop the skills needed to independently complete PreāDelivery Inspection checklists and assess asset condition
- Contribute ideas to improve health and safety, organisation, and overall yard efficiency
- Communicate clearly with colleagues across multiple depots to support weekly and monthly planning
- Work closely with engineers to support maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Travel with engineers to assist onāsite with installations or servicing when required
- React quickly to issues as they arise, taking ownership and resolving problems without delay
About You
- Highly organised and comfortable working independently on site
- Naturally proactive and reactive when priorities shift
- Confident communicating across teams and depots
- Practical mindset with an interest in equipment, assets, or technical environments
- Willing to learn new skills and support engineers handsāon when needed
- Flexible approach to work and travel when required
This is a fullātime, onāsite role for someone who likes responsibility, variety, and being at the centre of operations rather than behind a desk all day.
