The Opportunity
Working closely with the Regional Survey Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the East Midlands Operations Department, taking ownership of high-value infrastructure, commercial, and engineering survey projects. This is an autonomous, technically demanding position where you will deliver high-accuracy topographic, setting out, and 3D laser scanning solutions across diverse sites mainly in the East Midlands region with potential travel to other sites within the UK.
Technical Essentials
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven field experience in Land, Topographic, or Setting Out Surveying within a UK civils or construction environment.
- Total Stations: Proven field expertise in establishing primary site control and executing high-precision topographical survey/setting out using modern robotic Total Stations.
- Laser Scanning: Essential proficiency in operating modern 3D laser scanners (e.g., Leica RTC360, Trimble X7) and managing data processing workflows.
- Certifications: Valid CSCS card is mandatory.
- Mobility: Full UK Driving License with the flexibility to cover sites across Leicester, Peterborough, and the wider East Midlands, alongside occasional national travel.
- Desirable: Prior exposure to machine control model preparation or rail sector surveying environments (Sentinel PTS) is highly advantageous but not essential.
