Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Drainage Assistant to join a growing CCTV drainage team in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career as a Drainage Surveyor or CCTV Drainage Engineer, with full training provided and clear progression into a skilled, in-demand role.

The Role

  • Assist with CCTV drainage surveys of underground pipe networks
  • Help set up and operate specialist CCTV equipment used to inspect pipes
  • Access drainage systems via manholes and position cameras accurately
  • Identify issues such as blockages, debris, and structural defects
  • Record survey data using tablets and on-board computer systems
  • Support daily operations from a fully equipped survey vehicle

What We’re Looking For

  • Keen interest in a hands-on, field-based career within drainage or utilities
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors

Desirable

  • CSCS card
  • Previous utilities, highways or construction experience
