Drainage Lining Engineer – Night Work and Working Away

Location: North West England

Salary: Expected earnings £65,000 - £75,000+ pa

Contract Type: Permanent

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Drainage Lining Engineer to join a growing specialist drainage contractor operating across the North West and nationwide. This is a hands-on role suited to engineers with strong CIPP lining experience, who are happy with regular night work and working away from home. You’ll be involved in a wide range of lining projects, using modern systems and delivering high-quality reinstatement works for commercial and utility clients.

The Role

  • Carry out CIPP lining works including hot cure, ambient cure, UV, and LED systems
  • Complete patch repairs and full-length lining across various pipe sizes
  • Undertake robotic cutting, jetting, CCTV support, and resin works as required
  • Work as part of a lining crew while being capable of working independently when needed
  • Liaise with clients on site, providing updates and ensuring work is completed to a high standard

Hours & Travel

  • Monday to Friday
  • Minimum 50 paid hours per week
  • 90% night work
  • 90% working away from home
  • Travel time paid at enhanced rates

About You

  • Proven experience as a Drainage Lining Engineer (CIPP / UV / LED)
  • Strong technical knowledge across lining, patch repairs, and robotic cutting
  • Proactive, problem-solving approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working nights and staying away from home
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • CSCS card and Confined Space certification (essential)
  • HGV licence (desirable but not essential)

Pay & Benefits

  • Days: £15.00 – £18.00 per hour
  • Nights: £20.00 – £24.00 per hour, plus additional enhancements
  • Overtime paid at enhanced rates (time and a third to double time)
  • Performance related bonus
  • Travel time paid
  • Working away subsistence allowance
  • Expected earnings £65,000 - £75,000+ per year
  • 30 days holiday
