This role is critical for delivering accurate and reliable utility mapping and survey services across a variety of essential infrastructure projects, offering you the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and make a meaningful impact.
The Opportunity
Covering the North West from the Leeds office, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for carrying out investigative surveys, identifying utility pipes and cables for verification and validation, and gathering data for underground distribution services. Due to the nature of their projects across the UK (particularly North West UK), flexibility is essential, including working away from home and occasional night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct GPR and Utility Mapping surveys using state-of-the-art equipment.
- Undertake investigative utility surveys and complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Engage professionally with site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Generate detailed Utility Survey Reports.
- Perform appropriate quality control checks and issue data to CAD.
- Provide mentorship and training to Trainee and Junior Surveyors as required.
- Offer technical support to Project Managers and internal staff members.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional with:
- A minimum of 2 years’ Utility Surveying experience.
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience of underground utility tracing and GPR.
- Proven ability to post-process GPR data.
- Working knowledge and understanding of PAS 128 specification surveys.
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly, including travel and night work as required.
- A full UK manual driving licence and valid CSCS Card.
Desirable: Ability to use CAD software, ProQual (NVQ) Level 3, and SSSTS.
