Are you an experienced, precision-driven Utility Surveyor looking to step into a senior technical leadership role within an expanding land and geospatial consultancy?
A leading specialist surveying consultancy is expanding its operations and seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to lead regional project delivery in South East England.
In this senior role, you will take ownership of complex subsurface mapping schemes, oversee on-site methodologies, mentor junior surveyors, and ensure seamless integration of utility data with wider topographical deliverables.
The Opportunity:
You will lead the execution of comprehensive underground utility mapping projects strictly adhering to PAS 128 (Quality Levels QL-D through QL-A). Your day-to-day remit involves:
Leading complex subsurface investigations utilising multi-channel Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Location (EML) equipment on major infrastructure, commercial, and residential assets.
Overseeing and executing advanced post-processing of GPR and EML data, coordinating closely with CAD and topographical teams to deliver complete, accurate utility models.
Conducting advanced site reconnaissance, complex utility mark-outs, methodology planning, and robust site-specific risk assessments (RAMS).
Mentoring and supervising junior surveyors and assistants on-site, providing quality assurance and technical guidance.
Acting as a technical point of contact on-site for clients and contractors, ensuring projects meet rigorous safety standards and client specifications.
The Package:
Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + fully expensed company vehicle / van allowance.
