Vector Recruitment Solutions are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s expanding commercial team within the civil engineering and utilities sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong eye for detail and commercial awareness to support high-profile infrastructure projects using cutting-edge and industry leading technology.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, valuations, and final accounts
  • Monitor project costs and drive profitability through cost control
  • Manage contracts and support contract negotiations
  • Support the Commercial Manager with dispute resolution and claims management
  • Submit timely and accurate payment applications / invoices and manage variations
  • Collaborate with project teams on financial reporting and forecasting

Requirements

  • Experience as a Junior Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Trainee QS within Civil Engineering, Drainage, or Utilities
  • Knowledge of NEC, JCT, or similar contracts
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost management software
  • HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineer or Construction Management (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
