We’re looking for an experienced Heating Engineer to join a growing low-carbon energy company working on district heat networks across the UK. You’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining HIUs across residential and commercial sites, ensuring customers receive reliable, efficient heating all year round.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, fault finding and repairing HIUs of various manufacturers
- Attending reactive callouts and reinstating heat on customer sites
- Completing planned maintenance and mechanical checks within plant rooms
- Reviewing and resolving root causes of failures to improve system performance
- Maintaining accurate job records and online work orders
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where required
- Taking part in an on-call rota (typically one week in four)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HIU Service Engineer
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of heat networks, energy centres or plant rooms
- Able to fault find confidently on HIUs and related mechanical systems
- Basic electrical knowledge and safe isolation experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Positive, reliable and confident working independently
