Wiltshire / South West | Commercial & Domestic Drainage Specialist

Salary: £32,500 - £38,000+ (DOE)

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x standard rate

Vector is currently recruiting for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join a leading drainage maintenance and facilities services provider operating across the South West and Wiltshire region. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong experience in drainage clearance, CCTV drain surveys, high-pressure water jetting, and de-scaling services.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Drainage Engineer / Drainage Technician to support both commercial and domestic drainage systems, delivering high-quality reactive and planned maintenance services. This role is ideal for someone confident working independently, as well as supporting and mentoring junior engineers in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency and reactive drainage call-outs across the South West / Midlands region
  • Carry out high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) and drainage clearance works
  • Perform CCTV drain surveys, inspections, and fault diagnosis
  • Undertake de-scaling, root cutting, and blockage removal
  • Complete minor basic plumbing works, including toilet and urinal removal/replacement and isolation valve installation and repairs
  • Support and mentor junior drainage engineers
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in drainage, plumbing, or wastewater maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of drainage systems and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Experience with CCTV drainage inspection systems
  • Competent in HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting) and related tools
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

On-call rota included

Paid travel time for all jobs
