We are seeking an experienced Senior Utility Surveyor to join our clients growing team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and capable professional to step into a supervisory role on a major highways infrastructure project along the M1 corridor.
The Role
As a Senior Utility Surveyor, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of utility and topographical surveys, ensuring accurate data collection, team supervision, and adherence to PAS 128 standards. Your role will be pivotal in supporting safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate field-based Utility Teams alongside Topographical Survey teams to deliver PAS 128-compliant surveys
- Coordinate daily site activities and ensure project delivery aligns with client requirements
- Interpret project briefs and work closely with Project Managers and clients
- Process survey data and produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and technical reports
- Support logistics planning and ensure optimal resource deployment
- Mentor and develop junior surveyors and promote best practice
- Enforce health, safety, and quality standards across all survey operations
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years experience in Utility Surveying
- Proficient in GPR, EML with an understanding of Topographical Surveying
- Strong working knowledge of PAS 128 survey methodology
- Experience coordinating survey teams
- Skilled in data handling, QA processes, and client engagement
- Full UK driving licence required
- Desirable: QCF Level 3/5 in Utility Mapping, CSCS Card, or equivalent certifications
