HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer Location: Burgess Hill Pay Rates: £14.00 – £14.50 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday – 6:00 – 16:00 On behalf of our client, a Drainage contractor, Vector have an urgent requirement for HGV Class 2 drivers around the Burgess Hill area. This position will begin on a temporary contract with a view to permanent employment. This is an opportunity to join a company that commits to fully training their workforce, where safety is a top priority and promoting from within is encouraged. A career in drainage is very secure and not subject to seasonal downturns. This is also a position which welcomes newly trained drivers and provides them with the support and confidence required to safely drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle. Job Role You will be driving an HGV Class 2 Jet Vac Tanker or Combi Unit; you will work as a two-person team assisting the Drainage Engineer in operating the Jetting and Vacuum equipment attached to the vehicle. You will work on a variety of drainage related issues including emergencies like blockages and cleaning pipes during maintenance programmes. This work will assist clients from commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road, and utilities. Requirements * HGV Class 2 Licence – Newly qualified drivers welcome! * CPC * Willingness to undertake the physical aspect of the work. * Experience working in a highways or drainage environment is desirable but not essential.
