Were working with one of the UKs leading Drainage & Highways Contractors, looking for a motivated Drainage Supervisor to oversee night shift operations on key contracts. This position is open to candidates with previous supervisory experience or experienced drainage engineers looking to move into a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate operatives across multiple contracts, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
- Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and provide hands-on technical support.
- Carry out safety, quality, and equipment inspections.
- Provide troubleshooting guidance to crews during live works.
- Complete accurate end-of-shift reports for the Contract Manager.
About You:
- Proven supervisory experience in drainage or highways maintenance (or senior operative ready to step up).
- Strong working knowledge of jet vacs, combination units, and dewatering equipment.
- Full UK Driving Licence (LGV Class C + CPC desirable).
- Competent with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Understanding of Chapter 8 / traffic management.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7pm 5am
- Flexibility is required as the start and finish time may vary depending on project requirements.
