A fantastic new opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join an industry leading Bedford-based R&D company. You will join a friendly and supportive team responsible for the inspections, fault-finding, maintenance and repairs of equipment, installation of new equipment, and implementation of improvements to the existing plant equipment.

You will be joining a company that is a genuine leader in their field, performing exciting R&D work within a purpose-built facility, with exciting growth plans and an employee-focused approach, offering excellent support, career development, and training.

This role requires candidates to be able to gain UK Security Clearance.

Requirements – Mechanical Technician:
  • Recent and relevant experience in installing, maintaining and repairing industrial systems and plant equipment (high pressure compressed air systems, water cooling & treatment systems, lubrication/hydraulic systems, machinery, rotating components, linkages etc.)
  • Understanding of quality standards and excellent attention to detail.
  • A team player with good communication skills and the ability to support/mentor less experienced staff.

Salary: circa £28k - £35k + Shift allowance + benefits
