We are seeking an experienced Lead Electronic Design Engineer / Electronic Design Manager to join a Cambridge based R&D company who are developing state-of-the-art medical devices technology. This position would suit a Principal Electronics Design Engineer / Lead Electronics Engineer who is skilled at hands-on electronic design as well as leading product development and small teams. Ideally you will have a background in medical devices, but this is a nice to have.

You will be a dynamic individual looking to take the next step in your career. This integral role will see you become a key figure in the electronics design and development department, running a small team and overseeing product development to launch, liaising with customers, fostering relationships, project management and being the conduit between the development team and senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent academics – At least a 2:1 Degree in electronic engineering or physics or a relevant discipline from a top University.
  • Skilled in project / product management.
  • Experience working as a Technical Lead / Project Manager / Product manager / Mentor.
  • Recent and extensive experience in analogue and digital design. (This is a hands-on role)
  • Skilled in embedded software development (C / C++).
  • Proven track record of electronic circuit design and electronic system design innovation.
  • Practical electronics skills (soldering, wiring, bench work, PCBs, etc).
  • Full product development experience (from conception to prototype to manufacture) beneficial.
