We're looking for a Data Analyst to build our Analytics & Insight function.
You'll turn raw campaign and market data into clear, reliable reporting and genuine insight that helps our teams and clients make better-informed decisions.
Just as importantly, you'll help build and maintain the pipelines and processes that get data from source to dashboard cleanly and repeatably, so the numbers everyone relies on are accurate, consistent, and on time.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves getting into the detail of a dataset, but who also cares about telling a clear story with it.
You'll work closely with our teams, and you'll get broad exposure across channels and data sources from day one.
It suits someone early in their career who's analytical, curious, and keen to build deep expertise in media measurement and the data infrastructure behind it.
Key responsibilities
- Reporting & Insight
- Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports in both Excel, Power Point and our data platform, Adverity, that track campaign delivery and performance across a range of media channels.
- Produce recurring market and competitive reports, including advertising market analysis, and ad-hoc analysis in response to client and team questions.
- Lead TV attribution and effectiveness ouput, helping connect media activity to outcomes.
- Spot trends, anomalies, and patterns in the data, and flag them proactively rather than waiting to be asked.
- Present findings clearly, in writing, in decks, and increasingly in the room, to internal teams and clients.
- Data Pipelines & ETL
- Help build and maintain ETL processes that extract data from multiple sources (e. g.
BARB, Advant Edge, TV Attribution, Digital Platforms, GA4, and media owner platforms), transform it into consistent formats, and load it into our reporting environment.
- Integrate disparate data sources into unified, analysis-ready datasets, applying consistent definitions and data mappings.
- Own data quality: build validation and cleansing checks, handle exceptions, and make sure data stays accurate and consistent from source to output.
- Monitor automated jobs and refresh cycles, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise so reporting lands reliably and on schedule.
- Automate manual, repetitive data tasks to reduce errors and free up time for analysis.
- Document data sources, transformation logic, and definitions so the way our data flows is transparent and maintainable as the team grows.
- Gather and document data requirements from internal teams, translating what they need into practical reporting and pipeline work.
- Knowledge and experience
- 4-5 years experience in a marketing analytical function.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, comfortable handling large, messy datasets).
- Experience with at least one data visualisation tool (such as Power BI, Looker Studio, or Tableau).
- Some exposure to working with data across multiple sources; combining, cleaning, and structuring it for analysis.
- Clear communicator; able to explain what the numbers mean to people who don't live in spreadsheets.
- Curious and self-motivated; happy to dig into a problem and find your own way to an answer.
- A team player who's collaborative, reliable, and keen to learn.
- A genuine interest in media, advertising, and how data drives smarter decisions.
- Nice to have
- Exposure to media or marketing data, ideally agency-side.
- Working knowledge of Python data manipulation and automation.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts or tools, data warehousing, or building automated data workflows.
- Understanding of core media metrics (e. g. TVRs/GRPs, reach and frequency, CPMs, VTR).
- Experience with GA4, CM360, or comparable digital analytics platforms.
- What success looks like
- The teams rely on your reports and dashboards without double-checking them, and you understand where our core data comes from and how it flows through to our reporting.
- You own a set of regular deliverables end to end, from pulling and cleaning the data to producing the final output, and they land accurately and on time.
- You spot and flag data discrepancies before they reach a client report, and you take manual, repetitive work and make it faster and more reliable, automating a report, tightening a data check, improving a pipeline.
- Your analysis prompts questions and decisions rather than just describing what happened: people come to you to understand why the numbers moved, and increasingly you can scope and build a new dashboard or data feed off a team or client need with limited hand-holding.
- You contribute to how we work; suggesting better sources, cleaner processes, and sharper ways to measure effectiveness.
