A global leading manufacturer of complex precision components has a new vacancy for a Senior Calibration Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for overseeing the calibration of equipment and leading a team of technicians to ensure compliance and the highest of standards are achieved in all calibration activities.

The Role

  • Lead, manage and coach the calibration team.
  • Maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner.
  • Define calibration requirement for new equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment when calibration errors are detected.
  • Raise non-conformance reports when calibration issues occur and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Identify new or replacement of calibration equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment for optimum performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability with the team.

The Person

  • Proven experience of managing calibrations within a traceable or UKAS accredited laboratory.
  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification or demonstrable experience.
  • Worked in a highly regulated industry.
  • A strong understanding of calibration principles and quality standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
