Following continued growth and expansion, a leading manufacturer of advanced bespoke engineering products has a new vacancy for a Site Director. A new position within the global organisation, the position will have full operational responsibility for one of the UK’s main manufacturing sites ensuring targets are achieved.
Candidates are sought with experience working in a fast-paced complex manufacturing environment with the capacity to make quick decisions in a high-pressure changeable production environment.
The Role
- Lead and manage all site operations.
- Drive continuous improvement across production, quality, and logistics.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals.
- Provide strong and visible leadership across all functions of the site.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety policies maintaining a safe and legally compliant working environment.
- Ensure all site processes and procedures are applied and maintained.
- Coordinate all operational activities from order through to delivery and aftersales.
- Manage site P&L, ensuring cost control and delivery of budgeted performance.
- Lead supplier negotiations to deliver cost and service improvements.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
- Work with group to propose and deliver investment plans to increase capacity, performance and reduce cost.
The Person
- Proven experience in a senior site or operations management position.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced complex manufacturing environment.
- Ability and capacity to make quick decisions in a high-pressure production environment.
- A hands-on approach with excellent leadership and people management abilities.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
