A globally recognised company supplying complex solutions to the precision machining sectors has a new vacancy for an Area Sales Engineer to join the team. Covering the South West regions and with previous experience as a Sales or Applications Engineer you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating new revenue streams and building long-term customer relationships.
The Role
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for expanding customer base.
- Track and report on sales performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Build and maintain robust sales pipeline to support business growth.
- Keep up to date with new technologies and competitor products.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and head office on developing strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to respond effectively to customer requirements.
- Develop and execute plans to drive sales within the assigned sales region.
- Maintain customer engagement to ensure sales pipeline.
- Monitor market trends within South West region.
The Person
- A self-starter with a strong understanding of metal cutting and machining processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and prioritise own time.
- Preferably a time served engineer with experience in automotive, aerospace or oil & gas industries.
- Able to travel to customers' sites across the South West region as required.
