A leading manufacturing group is expanding its operations and has a new vacancy for a Project Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for preparing detailed forecasts, budgets and analyses as well as supporting monthly management accounts. Candidates are sought with experience as a project accountant gained within a fast-paced environment (manufacturing, engineering, distribution or construction).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project weekly and monthly forecasts, annual budgets and variance analysis reporting.
  • Assist in the delivery of site annual business plans, providing financial and commercial guidance where necessary.
  • Prepare detailed cost analysis including staff costings, liaising with other departments within the company including supporting payroll data submissions for this major contract.
  • Support month-end financial closing activities and ensure an efficient and effective close is performed.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with supporting corporate schedules and variance reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Company’s internal controls, processes, procedures and systems.
  • Support the company’s operations by providing financial information for decision making.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors in completing audit requirements and respond to group and external audit queries.
