A global leading engineering group supplying precision components to the Aerospace, Defence & Energy sectors have a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Manager to join one of its major manufacturing plants. You will take full responsibility for manufacturing operations, ensuring delivery to the highest standards while embedding best practices.
The Role
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations within an advanced engineering manufacturing environment.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, CI, OEE, waste reduction).
- Manage and develop high-performing teams through strong leadership and coaching.
- Ensure full compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership.
- Responsible for capacity modelling to identify bottlenecks/constraints and take appropriate steps to ensure sufficient capacity.
- Lead the production team to establish and clearly communicate targets and priorities.
- Responsible for identifying improvements for quality, cost and on-time delivery.
The Person
- Demonstrable experience in a senior production leadership role.
- Degree qualified in Engineering or demonstrable experience.
- A track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to engage and inspire.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in an advanced engineering environment (aerospace preferred).
- An effective leader that sets a positive and productive work environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
