An expanding manufacturing group has a new vacancy for a Supply Chain Manager to join its team. The company specialises in the manufacture of complex precision components supplied to the Aerospace, Automotive, and Defence sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning planning and supply chain functions to ensure customer demand is met, manufacturing capacity is optimised, and overall business targets are achieved.
The Role
- Implement & develop supply chain strategies to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Lead, coach and develop the planning team promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Forecast demand and plan material requirements to support manufacturing schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee planning data and ensure schedules in ERP systems are accurate.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure NPI programs and improvement activities are accurately reflected in production plans.
- Ensure key priorities are clearly communicated and incorporated into decision-making.
The Person
- Experience in Supply Chain or Production Planning leadership position.
- Excellent leadership skills with strong organisational and influencing skills.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced complex manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to balance customer demand, capacity constraints and operational risk.
