Following sustained growth and expansion, a global manufacturer of engineered products supplied to the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Senior Quality Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring products meet with customer requirements, continuous improvement and the development of the Quality Management System.

The Role

  • Undertake short-medium-long term projects/quality activities to improve process efficiency.
  • Plan and carry out internal audits, reporting and analyse results.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with engineering & production teams to improve product quality.
  • Develop a good working relationship with customers on product launches and improvements.
  • Develop and maintain the QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Support New Product Introduction and Advance Product Quality Planning.
  • Uphold processes that ensure health, safety and environmental best practices.

The Person

  • Proven experience in a quality function within a highly regulated and fast paced manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, defence, energy).
  • Working knowledge/implementation of zero-defect tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
