Following sustained growth and expansion, a global manufacturer of engineered products supplied to the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Senior Quality Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring products meet with customer requirements, continuous improvement and the development of the Quality Management System.
The Role
- Undertake short-medium-long term projects/quality activities to improve process efficiency.
- Plan and carry out internal audits, reporting and analyse results.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with engineering & production teams to improve product quality.
- Develop a good working relationship with customers on product launches and improvements.
- Develop and maintain the QMS (Quality Management System).
- Support New Product Introduction and Advance Product Quality Planning.
- Uphold processes that ensure health, safety and environmental best practices.
The Person
- Proven experience in a quality function within a highly regulated and fast paced manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, defence, energy).
- Working knowledge/implementation of zero-defect tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
