Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered components, supplying the aerospace, defence and high-technology sectors. Due to investment and expansion they are seeking to appoint a Managing Director to lead the business through its next phase of growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the company's next phase of expansion with plans to double operational footprint over the next two years.
The Role
- Partner with the group's senior executive team in the development and implementation of the company’s long-term strategy.
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and implement world class manufacturing excellence.
- Influence the company’s culture and performance, specifically impacting with measurable results in process improvement, cost reduction, quality and delivery.
- Champion performance management within your team and drive operational accountability.
- Take full P&L responsibility for the site.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify growth opportunities, including new markets, products, and partnerships.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing senior team.
