A sector-leading manufacturing company is entering the next phase of product development and is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join its growing team.

You will lead purchasing and procurement activities that support engineering product development and rapid production build increases for an innovative electrification powertrain programme.

Candidates are sought with experience in a similar role and gained in the automotive, aerospace, defence, marine or electrification sectors in advantageous.

Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.

Identify and source new global suppliers for a range of products including mechanical, electromechanical and electrical products and engineering services.

Develop purchasing pipelines and achieve inventory optimisation.

Implement procurement processes, supplier approvals and purchasing controls.

Agree pricing, commercial agreements and contract terms with suppliers.

Analyse market trends, material availability and supply risks.

Ensure purchased commodities meet quality and sector regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supply chain

A proven purchasing management professional gained in a complex engineering or manufacturing sector.

Experience working in a highly regulated sector preferred, aerospace, automotive, defence, energy, marine, etc.

Excellent commercial negotiation skills and previous contractual supplier agreements experience.
