Due to continued company growth and expansion, a leading manufacturer supplying complex products to the Aerospace, Automotive, Rail and High Technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Buyer to join the team. You will be responsible for managing and developing suppliers ensuring cost effective and efficient supply. Applicants are sought with purchasing experience ideally gained within a complex manufacturing environment. The Role Source and purchase materials, components and services in line with business requirements. Negotiate pricing, terms and supply agreements with suppliers. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. Monitor supplier performance, quality, lead times and delivery. Identify cost-saving and continuous-improvement opportunities. Manage purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely procurement. Support supplier selection, evaluation and development. Resolve supply chain issues and manage supplier risks. Maintain accurate records and generate reports for procurement performance. The Person Experience in a Buyer position role gained in a complex manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation and commercial skills. Excellent communication and relationship-management abilities. Good analytical and organisational skills. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office. A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
