Due to continued growth, a manufacturer of precision components to the Aerospace, Defence and High Technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Quality Engineer to join the team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet with customer requirements by working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality processes, oversee inspections, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
Lead quality activities for NPI projects, supporting concept‑to‑release deliverables and manufacturing readiness.
Ensure all quality activities, risk assessments and deliverables are completed in accordance with APQP requirements and a zero‑defect launch.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
Work closely with engineering & production to improve product quality to ensure the highest quality standards.
Monitor change in customer specifications ensuring process owners implement change when required.
Uphold processes that ensure health, safety and environmental best practices.
The Person
Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, defence, etc).
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Excellent understanding of quality assurance management principles and practice.
In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
