A global leading engineering group supplying precision components to the Aerospace, Defence & Energy sectors have a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Manager to join one of its major manufacturing plants. You will take full responsibility for manufacturing operations, ensuring delivery to the highest standards while embedding best practices. Candidates are sought with proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role within a large complex precision manufacturing environment.

The Role

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations within an advanced engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, CI, OEE, waste reduction).
  • Manage and develop high-performing teams through strong leadership and coaching.
  • Ensure full compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership.
  • Responsible for capacity modelling to identify bottlenecks/constraints and take appropriate steps to ensure sufficient capacity.
  • Lead the production team to establish and clearly communicate targets and priorities.
  • Responsible for identifying improvements for quality, cost and on-time delivery.

The Person

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior production leadership role.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or demonstrable experience.
  • A track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to engage and inspire.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in an advanced engineering environment (aerospace preferred).
  • An effective leader that sets a positive and productive work environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
