A global leading manufacturer of complex components to the aerospace and defence sectors has a new vacancy for a Senior Metallurgist.
Working as part of the global engineering team you will play a key role in ensuring critical products and components meet with industry and special process requirements.
Candidates are sought with a good understanding of metallurgical testing & analysis within a highly regulated environment (aerospace, automotive, defence, energy, etc).
The Role Work as part of the global engineering team to qualify, approve and specify processes to meet with customer and industry requirements.
Support customer audits and new customer approvals.
Ensure the technical compliance of all special processes.
Improvement of the business management systems Company representative for accreditation and certification bodies.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on superalloys and processes.
Develop and refine procedures in line with NADCAP and industry best practices.
Support root cause investigations for material and/or process issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance material
The Person A degree (or equivalent) in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in an operational metallurgy role within a highly regulated industry (aero, defence, energy, etc).
Ability to manage people and drive improvements in a fast-paced demanding environment.
Good understanding or AS9100 and Nadcap approvals.
Ability to make decisions and resolve problems.
Degree in Materials or Materials Science Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work as part of a team and with all levels of the organisation.
