Due to continued growth, investment and expansion, a leading manufacturer of complex engineered components to the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Energy Sectors has a new vacancy for Metrology Engineer to join the team.

The Role

  • Develop, maintain, and improve measurement and inspection methods.
  • Operate and program CMMs and other metrology equipment.
  • Analyse measurement data and produce clear technical reports.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with the Engineering team to develop new engineering projects to support business development.
  • Work with and develop strong relationships with internal and external key partners.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.

The Person

  • Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in Engineering, Metrology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the field of dimensional measurement.
  • Have a practical hands on approach.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience of working in precision engineering environment.
  • An understanding of CMM operation and programming would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to a team environment.
