This is a full-time, on-site Technician role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Technician will support RF and telecommunications testing activities, including setting up, operating, and maintaining test equipment for cellular and mobile network components.

Daily tasks include:

  • Preparing test setups
  • Performing measurements on RF path devices and antennas
  • Recording and analyzing test data
  • Troubleshooting performance issues in collaboration with senior engineers

The role also involves following detailed test procedures, adhering to safety and quality standards, documenting results clearly, and contributing to PIM investigation and resolution work. The Technician will work as part of a collaborative team, engaging with colleagues and occasionally customers to support the delivery of reliable, high-performing network solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Technical skills in RF, electronics, or telecommunications, including familiarity with RF path devices, antennas, and basic test and measurement concepts
  • Hands-on experience using test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, PIM testers, or similar instruments) or strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation, test procedures, and schematics with close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in diagnosing hardware or signal integrity issues in telecommunications environments
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a field or lab setting and maintain clear documentation of work performed
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electronics, telecommunications, RF engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Comfort working in on-site environments, which may include telecom sites, labs, and network infrastructure locations, while following safety protocols
  • Full, valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer or network sites within the region, as required
