We are currently recruiting for a globally loved cosmetics brand that is dedicated to delivering innovative, high-performance beauty products that inspire confidence and self-expression.
They are looking for a passionate and creative Product Development Manager/ Buyer to join the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver versatile, premium-quality products to market across cosmetics, self-tanning, and nails.
They are a scaling, founder-led beauty brand known bridging the gap between everyday beauty enthusiasts and professional makeup artists, with products that empower.
Their products are now sold internationally in over 2000+ stores and online, including the likes of Sephora, Boots, and Look Fantastic.
As the Buyer you’ll lead in the end-to-end delivery and execution of NPD & core product development, working across multiple product categories such as cosmetics, tanning, and nailcare, from conception through to launch.
The role is fast-paced, ever-changing, and requires an individual who is confident in self-managing and prioritising tasks to ensure smooth delivery.
Reporting directly to the COO, you will collaborate with Founder, cross-functional teams, and external partners to create impactful and trend-driven beauty products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the entire product development process, ensuring all stages from ideation phase to launch, are executed efficiently and effectively.
Collaborate closely with the Graphic Designer to create detailed design briefs for formulation, componentry, and packaging.
Conduct financial evaluations across the product range to monitor profitability and overall performance.
Coordinate product samples and maintain consistent daily communication with suppliers to ensure production timelines are met.
Oversee the development and coordination of product merchandising, including display units, press kits, and visual retail elements such as window displays.
Track and report on competitor activity, including pricing, product launches, and broader market movements.
Keep up to date with the latest beauty trends, innovation, and industry shifts to help inform forward-thinking product strategies.
Work collaboratively across departments – including Buying, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Finance – to support shared product goals and contribute to brand growth.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in beauty product development is preferred.
Proven ability to perform under pressure and excel in fast-paced environments.
Excellent critical thinking, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Genuine passion for the beauty industry and its evolving trends.
Team and project management experience.
Strong supplier relationship management skills.
