We are currently recruiting for a growing, ethically-driven global beauty brand based in South London. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join their team as Assistant Regulatory & NPD Manager. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a strong background in regulatory compliance, particularly in cosmetics, and a passion for innovation in product development. Our client is a leading British beauty company whose products are distributed in over 30 countries and stocked in top-tier retailers. Known for their ethical, cruelty-free formulations and 100% recyclable packaging, the company is committed to sustainable growth and charitable giving. With a fast-expanding portfolio including skincare, haircare, and gifting, they recently surpassed £8 million in annual turnover and continue to scale globally. This hybrid position reports to the Head of Product and combines technical regulatory expertise with hands-on involvement in new product development (NPD). The successful candidate will ensure all products meet global compliance standards while contributing creatively to new launches. The role is ideal for someone currently in a regulatory role or with strong compliance experience within an NPD function in the beauty industry. Responsibilities: Regulatory & Compliance Ensure products meet all regulatory requirements across the UK, EU, US, and additional international markets. Prepare and manage Product Information Files (PIFs), Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs), and labelling compliance. Handle product registrations via relevant portals (e.g., CPNP, SCPN). Monitor global regulatory changes and assess impact on product development and market access. Collaborate with external consultants and regulatory bodies as needed. New Product Development (NPD) Support full-lifecycle NPD projects from concept through to market launch. Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and creative teams to ensure timely and aligned development. Coordinate formulation and packaging development with suppliers in line with brand standards and values. Manage packaging specifications to ensure technical accuracy and suitability. Project & Process Management Maintain and update project trackers, critical paths, and documentation systems. Identify opportunities for regulatory and process improvement across projects. Support ongoing regulatory updates and artwork revisions for existing products. Troubleshoot challenges during development and post-launch phases. Requirements: Solid experience in regulatory affairs and/or NPD within the beauty, skincare, or personal care space. Strong understanding of international cosmetic regulations (UK/EU/US). Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Solutions-focused with strong communication and collaboration skills.
