As the Regulatory & Technical Manager, you will join the NPD team and report directly to the Director of NPD. You will be responsible for providing regulatory advice and guidance across the business, ensuring products meet UK and international compliance requirements. This role will oversee product registrations, technical documentation, packaging approvals and ongoing regulatory updates across global markets, including the UK, US and China.
Responsibilities- Prepare and organise product and technical documentation required for UK and global product registrations.
- Manage internal product folders, ensuring all artwork, INCI lists, safety data sheets, stability reports, compatibility reports, PIFs, CPSRs and testing documentation are complete and up to date.
- Maintain and manage product information across CPNP and UKCP platforms.
- Review product formulations and registrations to ensure all information remains current and compliant.
- Support US regulatory compliance by researching and implementing MoCRA and FDA requirements at both federal and state level.
- Coordinate product registration through the Cosmetics Direct platform with support from external regulatory partners.
- Manage the registration of selected products within the Chinese market, working closely with third-party regulatory agencies.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain raw material documentation and support the creation of specification and manufacturing documents.
- Review and approve secondary packaging artwork to ensure compliance with regional regulations.
- Respond to internal and external regulatory queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create and maintain INCI lists, ensuring packaging and internal teams are updated on any formula changes.
- Support packaging artwork approvals from a regulatory perspective.
- Maintain a master product information database to support internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Provide day to day regulatory and administrative support to the NPD team.
- Collate and maintain compliant Leaping Bunny documentation for all raw materials and products.
- Monitor regulatory developments and communicate changes clearly across the business to ensure products and packaging remain compliant.
- Degree in Cosmetic Science or a related field.
- Previous experience within a cosmetic regulatory or compliance role.
- Strong understanding of product registration processes across global markets, including China.
- Knowledge of cosmetic formulation files and technical documentation, including PIFs and CPSRs.
- Experience managing CPNP and other global product registration portals.
- Up-to-date knowledge of cosmetic regulations and the ability to identify and communicate regulatory changes.
- Technical understanding of quality assurance processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
- Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
