Our client is a globally recognised luxury fragrance brand, with a presence in major international cities. The company currently operates a multisite location presence in the UK and continues to strengthen its position within the UK luxury market.
About the Role:
The business is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee its UK retail operations, managing each location. Reporting into the international head office, this role will take ownership of retail performance, team leadership, operational excellence, and brand representation across multiple points of sale. The Retail Manager will play a key role in driving sales, elevating customer experience, and ensuring consistent execution of the brand’s luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Operations: Oversee day to day retail operations across multiple UK points of sale: boutique and department store locations. Ensure consistent brand standards, operational excellence, and customer experience across both sites. Manage staffing, scheduling, inventory control, and in-store execution. Actively support sales performance and client development within both locations.
- Financial & Performance Management: Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and budgets in collaboration with the head office. Support forecasting, stock management, and retail reporting to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- People Management: Recruit, train, coach, and develop retail teams across multiple locations. Foster a high-performance, service-led culture aligned with the brand’s values and luxury positioning.
- Business Development & Partnerships: Support relationships with department store partners and key stakeholders. Identify opportunities to enhance retail performance, visibility, and client engagement.
- Marketing & Brand Experience: Support local retail marketing initiatives in coordination with the central Marketing & PR team. Ensure strong brand presentation and storytelling within both retail environments.
Requirements:
- Seasoned experience in luxury retail.
- Proven experience managing multiple points of sale (boutique and/or department store environments).
- Previous experience as a Retail Manager, Multisite Manager, or Senior Store Manager.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience working to sales targets and KPIs.
- Good understanding of the UK luxury retail landscape and department store operations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, acting as a brand ambassador.
- Organised, commercially minded, and detail-oriented.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
