Power Platform Developer

Power Platform Developer

Full-Time On-site
V

At VWV, we're investing in technology to make the way we work smarter and more efficient. Our Digital Delivery team is at the heart of this, developing and improving the systems and applications our people rely on every day.

We're looking for a Power Platform Developer to join our Application Engineering team in Bristol. You'll help build and support business applications, using Microsoft Power Platform to create solutions that work well for our people and can grow with the firm.

You'll initially focus on Project Keystone, our new client and matter inception platform, alongside Project Optimus, our programme to move our finance system to a modern, cloud-based platform. With plenty of change happening across VWV, there'll be opportunities to get involved in a wider range of projects as our transformation continues.

Is This Your Next Career Move?

You’ll work alongside developers, Business Analysts, testers, architects and delivery colleagues, turning agreed requirements and designs into reliable, well‑built applications.

Your main focus will be model‑driven Power Apps, Microsoft Dataverse and Power Automate, with JavaScript also playing an important part in our development. You’ll build new functionality, test your work, support deployments and help resolve any issues that arise once applications are live.

You’ll also make sure your work is well documented, follows our engineering and security standards, and is built with long‑term support and maintenance in mind. You’ll be part of a collaborative team where sharing knowledge, working through problems together and finding better ways of doing things are all encouraged.

There’s also the opportunity to broaden your skills beyond Power Platform, including exploring Azure integration services such as Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions, if that’s something that interests you.

Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?

You’ll be a hands‑on developer with solid commercial experience of building Power Platform solutions within a development team. You enjoy getting into the detail, solving problems and taking pride in producing clean, well‑structured work.

You’ll have experience building model‑driven Power Apps using Dataverse, developing Power Automate cloud flows and writing JavaScript for model‑driven applications. You’ll also understand data modelling, Dataverse security and how to manage solutions across development, test and production environments.

Just as importantly, you’ll be comfortable working with agreed requirements and technical designs, following development standards and collaborating with colleagues from different teams. You’ll have a good understanding of when to use configuration, low‑code or custom code to deliver the right solution.

Experience with Azure DevOps, Agile ways of working, canvas apps, Power BI or Azure integration services would be useful, as would an understanding of professional services workflows. Experience in a law firm would be a bonus, but it’s certainly not essential. A Power Platform certification, such as PL‑900 or PL‑400, is welcome but not required.
