Your Mission

  • Perform fusion and mechanical splicing across underground, aerial, and in-premises environments
  • Test, troubleshoot, and optimise fibre networks using OTDRs, power meters, and light sources
  • Install and maintain fibre cables, enclosures, connectors, and patch panels
  • Read and interpret splicing diagrams, technical drawings, and network plans
  • Conduct upgrades, repairs, and expansions to ensure network reliability
  • Maintain accurate records of work, test results, and material usage
  • Work safely and responsibly at all times
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality results

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Fibre Splicer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of fibre optic technology, network construction, and fault-finding techniques
  • Call-out and Fault-finding Experience Is Essential
  • Proficiency with fibre testing tools (OTDR, fusion splicers, power meters, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network diagrams
  • Problem-solving mindset and resilience under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Determination to meet and exceed daily targets
  • Strong call-out and fault-finding skills to resolve network issues efficiently
  • Team spirit, clear communication, and support for your crew
  • Self-motivation and drive to continuously grow in your craft
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Experience working in confined spaces
  • Full UK driving licence, held for more than 2 years, over 25 years old, no more than 9 points on licence
  • Required certifications: NRSWA, BT Openreach credentials, N23, SA001, SA002, SA007, SA008, IPAF Experience is essential for working effectively with clients and contractors
