About Us:At VEA Telecoms, we are experiencing an exciting phase of expansion, and to support this growth, we are seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team. We are a dynamic organization with a focus on civil engineering projects, and this role offers the opportunity to be a crucial part of our continued success.

About the Role:As a Permit Coordinator within our Civils Team, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating various civil activities essential for project success. This hybrid position requires a motivated individual with prior experience in civil engineering. Reporting to the Project Management function, you will be responsible for managing the coordination of civil works across planning, management, and delivery functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Civils process, including line searches and dealing with Cadent Section 58s Main oil lines.
  • Program works for each contractor and manage the workflow of permits and street works notices to meet client SLAs.
  • Manage the submission and administration of highway permits & notices in Manchester & Birmingham.
  • Prioritize effectively to ensure all permitting deadlines are met and apply for Bus stop suspension and Light Switch off as necessary.
  • Handle requests, receipts, and assessments of Traffic Management drawings before permitting.
  • Ensure compliance with NRSWA regulations and address any issues or requests from Local Authorities.
  • Ensure timely opening/closing of permits to avoid fines from Local Authorities.
  • Assist in reporting and assessing Defect and Section 81 Notifications.
  • Provide prompt responses to internal and external inquiries from Local Authorities and Project Teams.
  • Supervise coordinators within the team to maintain high standards and meet SLAs.
  • Maintain electronic and physical site files.
  • Conduct weekly calls with contractors and bi-weekly meetings with councils.
