The Compliance Coordinator ensures that all organisational compliance requirements are coordinated, maintained, and evidentially documented. This includes Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, Legal, Client, and ISO management system obligations. The role centralises compliance governance, mitigates legal and audit risks, and provides assurance to senior management, clients, and certification bodies.
Scope of the Role:
- Support the organisations SHEQ framework and ISO management systems.
- Act as the central coordination point for compliance activities across all departments, projects, depots, and operational functions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Compliance Framework & Governance
- Maintain a company-wide compliance register (legal, ISO, client, internal requirements).
- Coordinate compliance activities across departments.
- Track compliance actions, owners, deadlines, and closure.
- Communicate updates to stakeholders and provide status reports to senior management.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Maintain H&S documentation (RAMS, inspections, training, competence records).
- Support incident, near-miss, and nonconformance processes.
- Track corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
- Assist in internal and external H&S audits.
- Environmental Compliance
- Maintain environmental compliance registers and records.
- Coordinate waste management compliance, including duty of care documentation.
- Maintain contractor permits, licences, and registrations.
- Support environmental objectives and risk reduction initiatives.

- Support the quality management system documentation and records.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Experience in compliance, SHEQ, or ISO coordination.
