The Work
We run and develop one of the largest Oracle Cloud shared services. This role encompasses both support and delivery. You will keep the live finance service healthy, and you will design and build the changes that improve it.
Requirements
What you will actually do:
- Run and fix the integrations: monitor them, resubmit or reprocess failures safely, and reconcile afterwards so nothing is lost or sent twice.
- Design, build and ship new and changed integrations (app driven, scheduled or event driven) with the mapping, fault handling and tracking you will want when you support them.
- Support the bespoke Visual Builder applications in live service, with no vendor behind them, and build new ones from first design to handover.
- Extend Fusion with Visual Builder Studio for Redwood pages and App UIs, Page Composer for classic pages and Application Composer for data model changes where the product allows, all in sandboxes published to an agreed plan.
- Support users who personalise their own pages, and when a page misbehaves, find whether the cause is their personalisation, a configuration or an extension, and fix it at that layer.
- Work with Fusion REST and SOAP APIs: test them in Postman or SoapUI, secure them with OAuth, and renew certificates before they expire.
- Deploy cleanly: Git, peer review, automated pipelines, a record of every delta deployment, and rollback plans you have tested.
- Test and fix integrations, applications and extensions through each quarterly Oracle update, keeping application runtimes on supported versions.
- Debug across whole chains, from application to integration to database to network, and write down what you found and changed.
- Code securely as standard: OWASP practice, secrets in OCI Vault rather than source code, and security testing in every pipeline.
- Join the on call rota for high priority incidents outside core hours.
- Hand over properly: documentation, deployment notes, knowledge transfer and early life support alongside the run team.
What you will bring:
- Oracle Integration work at senior depth: integrations you designed, built and then supported in production, including on Oracle Integration 3, with the Oracle ERP Cloud and HCM Cloud adapters, REST, SOAP and SFTP.
- Fusion extensions and configuration you shipped with Visual Builder Studio, Page Composer and well managed sandboxes.
- Data you moved in and out of Fusion with REST and SOAP services, File Based Data Import (FBDI), HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extracts, Analytics Publisher (BI Publisher) extracts, business events and BI Cloud Connector (BICC).
- Fusion API calls you tested in Postman or SoapUI, and integration security you set up and debugged yourself: OAuth tokens, certificates and TLS.
- Delivery discipline you can show: Git branching, peer review, pipelines with security testing, OWASP secure coding practice, and rollbacks tested.
- Solid SQL and PL/SQL, used to trace and reconcile data, including on Oracle Autonomous AI Database.
- The habit of debugging across an entire chain.
Useful but not essential:
- Groovy scripting and Application Composer.
- Oracle APEX.
- An upgrade from Oracle Integration Generation 2 to 3.
- Fusion reporting and extracts in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Analytics Publisher and BICC.
- Agentic AI in Oracle Integration 3, or AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications.
- An Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Application Integration Professional or Oracle Redwood Application Developer Associate certification.
- Enough Terraform or OCI administration to read what our platform engineers build.
- Tosca, ServiceNow and Jira, and work in secure or government environments.
