- Define modelling conventions, versioning, and change control.
- Ensure semantic consistency across domains and trusts.
- Support the creation of a “data twin” representation of operational environments (e.g. acute).
- Governance, Assurance & IG
- Embed IG-by-design: DPIA-driven controls; role-based access; audit and traceability.
- Act as a technical authority during IG, security, and assurance reviews.
- Provide evidence and rationale for architectural decisions.
- Service Management & Operability
- Define the service management model for Foundry as a data platform, including: run vs change boundaries; monitoring and alerting approach; incident and escalation paths.

- Support transition from project delivery to steady-state operation.
- Technical Leadership & Enablement
- Provide technical leadership to Foundry Engineers and internal teams.
- Review designs, code patterns, and delivery approaches.
