Job Purpose
The Digital Marketing Apprentice role is a dynamic opportunity to build strategic marketing capability within a digital-first environment. Under the guidance of experienced marketers, you will gain hands-on experience across the entire digital marketing lifecycle – from content creation and campaign execution to SEO, data analytics, and customer engagement.
Level: 6 (Degree) or 7 (Postgraduate)
Location: Hybrid (London-based)
Job Purpose
The Digital Marketing Apprentice role is a dynamic opportunity to build strategic marketing capability within a digital-first environment. Under the guidance of experienced marketers, you will gain hands-on experience across the entire digital marketing lifecycle – from content creation and campaign execution to SEO, data analytics, and customer engagement.
This programme is ideal for recent graduates or final-year students with a strong interest in marketing, communications, or media who are keen to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios while earning a degree or advanced qualification in parallel.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Development & Execution
- Support the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, social media, paid search, web).
- Assist in the scheduling, execution, and monitoring of marketing activities aligned to business goals.
Content Marketing & Copywriting
- Contribute to the creation of compelling content across digital channels (blog posts, social, newsletters, videos, whitepapers).
- Ensure brand consistency, tone of voice, and SEO optimisation across all content outputs.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) & Web Analytics
- Conduct keyword research, backlink analysis, and technical SEO audits.
- Monitor and report on traffic, engagement, and campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, Search Console, and SEMRush.
Email Marketing & CRM
- Create and distribute segmented email campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot.
- Assist in maintaining marketing automation workflows and CRM integrations.
Social Media Management
- Plan, create, and schedule content across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Track social media metrics and provide actionable insights on performance and audience trends.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct research on target markets, customer personas, and emerging digital trends.
- Support benchmarking exercises and competitive analysis for positioning and growth planning.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Use analytics tools to track KPIs such as conversion rates, bounce rates, CPC/CPA, and customer acquisition cost.
- Contribute to monthly performance reports and marketing dashboards.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (completed or ongoing) in:
- Marketing
- Digital Media
- Business or Communications
- Or a related discipline
- Eligibility to enrol in a Level 6 or Level 7 Digital Marketing apprenticeship programme.
Core Skills & Competencies
Technical Marketing Skills
- Basic understanding of digital marketing techniques and platforms
- Familiarity with at least one content management system (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot)
- Experience with tools like Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, or Canva
