The SharePoint / Microsoft 365 Technical Lead is responsible for technical leadership and hands-on delivery of the SharePoint Online solution, translating approved architecture into a fully functioning, secure and performant implementation. This role bridges architecture, engineering and delivery, ensuring quality and delivery certainty within compressed timelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical build and configuration of SharePoint Online within an enterprise Microsoft 365 tenancy.
- Configure site collections, libraries, metadata, content types and search schema.
- Implement and validate role-based access controls.
- Ensure audit logging and access controls are fully functional and tested.
- Configure SharePoint to support document ingestion and scan-to-store replacement workflows.
- Implement light-touch automation using Power Automate where appropriate.
- Lead technical testing and defect resolution.
- Support UAT and technical handover to operational teams and superusers.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
- Experience leading delivery of large SharePoint document repositories.
- In-depth understanding of permissions, metadata, search and performance.
- Ability to deliver under tight, fixed timelines.

- Power Platform experience.
