Role purpose To provide data-driven assurance across complex services by validating datasets, identifying risks or non-compliance, and producing clear, defensible evidence to support operational and regulatory decision-making. This role focuses on accuracy, trust, and analytical rigour.
Responsibilities
- Data analysis & validation
- Analyse large operational datasets to identify gaps, anomalies, and inconsistencies
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of core datasets used for reporting or compliance
- Perform reconciliations across internal and external data sources
- Assurance & compliance support
- Monitor ongoing obligations against defined rules, thresholds, or policies
- Identify cases of non-compliance or under-performance based on data evidence
- Support the development of data-led assurance frameworks and checks
- Evidence & reporting
- Produce structured evidence packs to support escalation, audit, or regulatory review
- Clearly document assumptions, checks performed, and limitations in the data
- Respond to ad-hoc analytical queries from senior stakeholders
- Collaboration
- Work closely with reporting, operations, and delivery teams to ensure insights are acted upon
- Support continuous improvement of data quality and analytical processes

- Strong analytical capability (SQL, structured datasets, data interrogation)
- Experience working with operational, compliance, or assurance data
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach
