VDC Group is looking for a reliable, methodical and detail-oriented Print Artwork Checker / Artwork Quality Control Operative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys spotting mistakes and wants to play an important role in maintaining high standards of print quality. Check artwork PDF files against approved templates, customer orders and job specifications. Verify dimensions, bleed, trim marks, margins and artwork positioning.
Check text, spelling, logos, images, colours and other design elements for accuracy. Identify missing information, duplicated elements, inconsistencies and incorrect artwork versions. Spot potential technical issues, including low-resolution images, missing fonts and incorrect colour settings. Raise queries and communicate errors or amendments to the relevant teams. Ensure all artwork is checked and approved before being released for print. Maintain accurate quality control records and help prevent printing errors, waste and costly reprints.
Excellent attention to detail and strong visual checking skills. A methodical, organised and thorough approach to work. Good communication skills and the confidence to question discrepancies. Ability to work accurately, manage priorities and meet deadlines. A responsible attitude towards quality and accuracy. Previous experience is an advantage, but not essential. Knowledge of PDFs, Adobe Acrobat, print production, bleed, trim marks and CMYK colours would be beneficial.
