Drawing on deep industry knowledge, market research, and trusted relationships, we help our clients build high-quality whisky portfolios with confidence. At the heart of the business is a growing portfolio of maturing Scotch whisky casks, held in bonded warehouses across Scotland on behalf of our clients. Therefore, meticulous record keeping, and strong warehouse partnerships are the foundations of what we do.
As Operations Coordinator, you will take broad ownership of VCL's cask operations in Scotland. Day to day, you will arrange regauges and cask movements and ensure our inventory remains accurate and audit ready, but the role goes wider than coordination. You will own the relationships with our warehouse partners, take responsibility for the integrity of our operational data and processes, and act as the operational anchor on the ground in Scotland for the wider business.
You will be trusted to take ownership, improve how we work, and increasingly take on broader operational responsibility as the portfolio expands, including process design, supplier and warehouse oversight, and supporting the commercial and due diligence sides of the business. The role is home based within Scotland, but you will travel regularly to warehouse sites to attend regauges, conduct inspections, and maintain face-to-face relationships with our storage partners. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential, as is being based in Scotland.
Confident taking ownership and running operational matters independently in a remote, home-based setting. Experience in whisky, spirits, wine, or wider bonded/duty-suspended goods and familiarity with regauges, cask movements, and HMRC excise requirements is a real plus, but the right attitude and attention to detail matters the most.
