We are looking for an ambitious and highly organised individual who is articulate, curious, proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment across a range of projects.
Whilst the successful candidate needs to be a natural self-starter, it is also important that the candidate can work as part of a team across a range of disciplines.
This is a unique opportunity to join the rapidly growing team at VCCP Social Club as a client-facing Social Media Manager on a Gen Z brand. The role is perfectly suited for someone with experience working either agency or client side in a fast-moving social media management role. The ideal candidate is passionate about community management, brand culture, and most crucially, possesses a deep, nuanced understanding of Gen Z, language, and culture in the UK.
You will be the voice of the brand, engaging with the core audience and transforming their social channels into fame-driving, culturally relevant platforms. They know how to speak the audience's lingo and are on the forefront of both social and dating trends. The role is for a new account at VCCP Social Club. We are responsible for their always-on content strategy, creative development, content production, influencer management and management of their social channels including Threads, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The work we will be creating will span from reactive same day turn-around to longer lasting content series, specific to each social channel. The role will include managing an agile process to deliver reactive ‘newsroom’ style content, alongside longer development cycles for planned cultural moments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a proactive, self-starting approach, leveraging ingenuity and intuition to quickly drive action and capitalize on emerging social and cultural opportunities.
- Ability to monitor social conversations and trend to proactively spots opportunities for proactive engagement and community management with the audience
- Execute the day-to-day community management strategy across core channels (Threads, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
- Platform expertise, staying up to date with the latest platform updates including legislation, formats and UI.
- Week-to-week and month-to-month planning of content to align with the existing marketing calendar including cultural moments
- Preparing and sharing presentations outlining responses to briefs, summaries of live content and content performance for marketing teams and the wider client business
- Liaising with client and agency side stakeholders to ensure that social media output is of a high standard and adheres to social first principles
- Writing copy for social media content, including replying to comments and ensuring that best practice is adhered to and enforced across all content shared on the social platforms
- Briefing, reviewing and approving assets with the social media creative team, design and post production teams
- Working with the Account Management and Strategy teams to formulate agency briefs and strategies to respond to client briefs
- Reviewing competitor approaches and identifying opportunities to test or improve our output
- Analysing and reporting on the performance of published content including recommendations
ROLE SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience within a social media or community management role, either client or agency side
- Proven, in-depth understanding of Gen Z culture, irony and humour, speaks their language, with a strong focus on the female perspective.
- Experience writing for women’s media, comedy writers or comedy TV researchers would be beneficial.
- Fully versed in the use of Threads, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube for the purposes of advertising using both organic and paid strategies
- Full understanding of how social media results are analysed and reported upon to determine its success
- Experience with Sprinklr and Sprout as platforms for planning and publishing social media content, as well as reporting and tracking performance of content
- Familiar with using the native platform insights
- Experience using AI tools like Adobe Firefly, Gemini, Nano Banana
- Thorough understanding of influencer marketing
- Confident presenter and autonomous worker
- Understanding of community management and knowledge of working with online communities, including navigating legal and policy when it comes to any audience/community outreach.
- Used to responding to briefs within set deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and an appreciation for the written word
- Prior experience in dating brands is preferred but not necessary
