We are looking for an ambitious and highly organised individual who is articulate, curious, proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment across a range of projects. While the successful candidate needs to be a natural self-starter, it is also important that the candidate can work as part of a team across a range of disciplines.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are VCCP. We challenge the status quo, and that applies to our internal technology just as much as our creative output. We have recently launched the first phase of our new Global ERP ecosystem, centred on Deltek Maconomy and Workbook. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take the reins of this ecosystem. You won’t just be "keeping the lights on"; you will be the bridge between complex technology and the people who use it. Your mission is to stabilise our current foundation and drive an ambitious roadmap of improvements that makes life easier for our Finance and Project teams globally. You will champion the product vision, ensuring our technology helps us run smarter, faster, and more efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning & Roadmapping (The Vision)
    • Own the Roadmap: You will move us beyond "Business as Usual" by building and maintaining a dynamic product roadmap. You will prioritise features based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
    • Quantify the Wins: It’s not just about doing the work; it’s about the impact. You will define success metrics for new features and quantify the benefits (e.g., hours saved, errors reduced) to demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.
    • Global Rollout Champion: You will play a critical role in our international expansion, ensuring new regions are onboarded with best-practice configurations that work for them, not just the system.
  • Business Partnering & Process Engineering (The Human Element)
    • Be the Solver: You will partner closely with Finance and cross-functional teams to understand their pain points. You aren’t just gathering requirements; you are translating business needs into technical solutions that remove friction.
    • Process Optimisation: You will act as a hunter of inefficiencies. You will analyse current workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation, ensuring we are adopting industry best practices.
    • Change Management: You will lead the "people side" of technology. This means communicating changes clearly, updating training collateral, and ensuring our users feel supported and empowered, not overwhelmed.
  • Technical Ownership & Configuration (The Engine Room)
    • Maconomy Mastery: You will be the go-to expert for Maconomy configuration, including Background Tasks, Reports, Simple Extensions, and Approval Hierarchies.
    • System Integrity: You will manage approvals, handle system admin duties, and oversee database copy scheduling with suppliers.
    • Ecosystem Integration: You will work with the Workbook and Unionpoint Product leads, as well as external vendors, to ensure seamless integration between our ERP and other agency applications.
  • Stability & Support (The Shield)
    • Proactive Monitoring: You will monitor system performance to catch issues before they become problems, driving escalations with vendors when complex technical hurdles arise.
    • Hands-on Resolution: While you think strategically, you are willing to get your hands dirty. You will provide 2nd line support, triaging and fixing issues regarding applications or interfaces.
    • Security & Compliance: You will conduct regular system audits to ensure we remain secure and compliant, maintaining robust documentation to support future audits.

ROLE SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience: You have 3+ years of proven experience as a Maconomy Business Analyst or Product Owner. You have "been there and done that" with system rollouts and implementations.
  • Technical Expertise: You possess strong hands-on experience with Maconomy WSC administration and configuration (extendor, layouts, etc.) and a solid understanding of SaaS packages.
  • Business Brain: You have a strong understanding of finance back-office processes and how technology underpins them. You speak "Finance" as fluently as you speak "Tech".
  • Product Mindset: You understand Software Release Management frameworks. You know how to build a roadmap, manage a backlog, and prioritise based on value.
  • VCCP Spirit: You are a highly motivated, flexible team player. You are confident dealing with everyone from the IT helpdesk to the CFO, and you have a genuine willingness to learn and grow with the role.
