3 – 6 Month contract – Senior Data Strategist
The Role:
We are looking for an ambitious and highly organised individual who is articulate, curious, proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment across a range of projects.
Whilst the successful candidate needs to be a natural self-starter, it is also important that the candidate can work as part of a team across a range of disciplines.
Working with a team of data, customer experience and customer engagement specialists, they will be responsible for developing, proposing and delivering data projects for existing clients.
We are looking for someone with strong experience developing end to end data strategies to drive customer engagement experience, with an inquisitive mind and an eye for detail. They need to have the ability to know when to bring in other data specialists, be it analysts, channel specialists or technical experts.
We are a small team who are passionate about data within a large creative agency and therefore need to be able to be ready to adapt and work in an agile way.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The contract role is to work across 2 accounts.
The primary project is delivering end to end data strategy to support a CRM program, with insight and results being fed into ideas for 2026 CRM strategies and the development of a loyalty program in 2026. Key deliverables include:
- Development of in-flight and post campaign performance on an existing live pilot campaign.
- Collaborate with the analyst and customer strategy team to build a business case to enable scenario planning of future CRM strategies.
- Develop a data strategy to power a H2 customer first CRM program.
- Develop a detailed measurement and testing strategy for the H2 CRM program.
The second project is to lead the data strategy for a client, for whom we as an agency, we design and deliver content across owned channels (social, web and app). Key deliverables include:
- Supporting a junior member of the team in data storytelling of monthly performance.
- Collaborating with social and digital strategists to ensure insight aligns to the strategy and focus of the month.
- Pick up and guide any ad hoc briefs that come in on the account, working closely with the day-to-day junior members to deliver.
Skills Required:
- Agency experience is essential.
- Hands on creation of presentations and writing analyst briefs.
- Use data storytelling in relevant outputs – where the results shown are not just a spreadsheet of numbers, but a cohesive story that demonstrates effectively what the recommendations are and why they matter.
- Experience working in an agency in a senior data strategy or data planning role.
- Understanding and strategic development of measurement and performance as critical foundations to improving processes and maximising the impact of deliverables.
- Solid understanding of data, platforms (primarily Salesforce & GA4) and databases with experience of briefing analysis projects and working with analysts to produce recommendations and insight that drive client agendas.
