About The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a great opportunity for the successful candidate – a diverse role that includes responsibilities across multiple reporting areas.

  • Treasury & Working Capital: Prepare daily bank reconciliations. Manage online bank access and account maintenance. Assist with the preparation of the weekly short‑term cash‑flow forecast.
  • Taxation: Preparation of the VCCP Group tax returns.
  • Financial Reporting And Control: Perform control checks on balance sheets on a monthly basis. Prepare & review the intercompany consolidation.
  • Group Reporting: Assist with the year‑end audit process and Statutory accounts preparation.
  • Management Accounts: Assist with the preparation of the management accounts for the Group Holding Companies.
  • Compliance: Prepare and submit monthly/annual National Statistic surveys. Review compliance with policies and processes. Assist with insurance process.
  • Other: Support wider Group Finance team with department deliverables.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience of working within an accounts or finance department at an accounts assistant level (AAT).
  • Excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a well‑rounded understanding of business in general.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be confident in communicating with all levels of the business.
  • Well organised but with the ability to be flexible and respond to changing deadlines and requests.
  • Take real pride in your work and have a strong sense of ownership.
  • Able to work using own initiative but also committed to supporting the wider team whenever possible.
  • Intermediate Excel ability with experience using Pivot Tables, xlookups, SUMIF, data linking etc.
