THE ROLE
We are looking for an ambitious and highly organised individual who is articulate, curious, proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment across a range of projects. Whilst the successful candidate needs to be a natural self-starter, it is also important that the candidate can work as part of a team across a range of disciplines.
For our clients…
- Work across VCCP Roar client base, developing insights, helping to create campaigns, presenting campaign performance and deliverables to clients.
- Co-host narrative and messaging sessions with clients, developing the write-ups and outputs of these sessions to a high standard.
- Conduct desk research to understand a brief, identify useful information and present compelling insights, accessible summaries and digestible takeaways.
- Support PR, marketing and creative teams in creating timely, client-ready work that retains the established messaging/insights throughout.
- Develop and present in-depth strategic documents, such as market maps, competitor analyses, content audits and brand planning documents.
- Develop creative briefs in line with client objectives, brief the creative teams and review their output, giving feedback to help them refine their work.
- Become a central strategist for a number of accounts (with support from Senior Strategist/above), working towards becoming solo lead strategist for one or two accounts.
- Use free or VCCP Roar owned tools – including Google Trends, Moz, SimilarWeb, Sparktoro Google Data Studio, and Statista – to identify or substantiate insights, trends and campaign platforms, and identify influencers.

- Act as core strategist for new business pitches by developing insights, campaign platforms, and activations, helping to keep the pitch focused and relevant.
- Proactively seek out and share items of interest i.e. reports, insights, campaigns, concepts.
- Help raise the profile of the Strategy & Planning Dept in the agency and externally i.e. through blogs, new strategy-led propositions, marketing efforts and sharing insights.
- Work alongside Senior Strategists on campaign research proposals, interrogating the client to understand their aims and using different research methodologies and questionnaire styles to achieve the data they need, analysing and presenting key messages back to the client.
- Produce all documents in a good quality of writing, with clear structure, simplicity of language and relevant word choice.
- Use data and insights to develop, target, optimise, and measure campaigns spanning the full customer journey.
- Use and apply different planning methods, VCCP Roar's offerings, comms components and terminology to meet client expectations.
